Here's the presentation that I delivered at the Chicago New Media Summit 2008. I had a blast at the conference, but getting the last minute opportunity to speak was a hoot! Having 14 hours to prepare (I slept for two of them) tends to really focus you.

The Future of Social Media presented by Charlene Li at Graphing Social Media - West 2008

:: Charlene kicked off the conference with a really good preso on her perspective on where social networking is going.

She repeated her projection that, "Social networks will be like air." This is a recurring theme, and I would bet that this is pretty much going to be the thesis of her upcoming book.

I've been following what Charlene has to say for years. One thing that struck me about her talk is that she's continually updating her content. She's evolving her rap, and she made the content feel fresh even though it's stuff I'm familiar with.
